Seedy Saturday in Durham

March 17 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Event Navigation

The Durham & District Horticultural Society and the West Grey Library will host a Seedy Saturday!

Bring in the seeds you saved from last season and trade them for something different. No seeds, no problem. Come in and pick out seeds that you would like to try at home.

At 11 a.m. guest speaker Cory Eichman of Saugeen River CSA will give a presentation and demonstration on seeding soil, how to properly plant and care for your seeds as they grown and how to successfully transplant your seedlings when the time is right. At 1 p.m. guest speaker Brian Robin of Grange Hollow Garden & Nursery will give a demonstration how to propagate, seed and grow annuals and perennials.

Vendors will be on hand to tell you about local gardens, nurseries and their services. Bring the kids to pot up their very own seeds to take home and listen to stories about seeds, trees, insects & butterflies! Free admission and refreshments will be served.

Everyone welcome!
